Using a case-based approach, we will review pearls, pitfalls, and challenging radiologic-pathologic correlation scenarios for ultrasound-guided core biopsies, fine needle aspirations, and localizations. Complications from ultrasound-guided procedures will be discussed with an emphasis on prevention and appropriate management.

Learning Objectives:

Discuss pearls and pitfalls of ultrasound-guided procedures using a cased-based approach.
Summarize the frequency and management of adverse outcomes following ultrasound-guided procedures.
Compare and contrast the various ultrasound guide biopsy techniques (fine needle aspiration, spring loaded core, or vacuum assisted biopsy)
