In this session, various non-wire preoperative breast localization techniques will be described - including the technology, strengths and limitations, tips for placement and potential pitfalls. Axillary seed localization procedures and specific tips for challenging localization cases will also be discussed, such as in the setting of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The role of specimen radiography following localization procedures will also be reviewed.
