Lauren Burkard-Mandel, MD, PhD, is a 4th year diagnostic radiology resident and chief resident at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH. She completed her MD/PhD at the University at Buffalo with a PhD in tumor immunology. She is a member of the RSNA's Radiology: Imaging Cancer editorial board where she serves as Deputy Editor. She has multiple first authored publications, and recently published a three-part series on Women in Radiology through the RSNA's Radiology: Imaging Cancer podcast. Her research interests include abbreviated MRI breast screening, healthcare inequities and gender diversity in radiology.
