Julien Cohen-Adad, PhD, is a professor at Polytechnique Montréal, member of the Mila – Quebec AI Institute, and a Canada Research Chair in Quantitative Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Cohen-Adad has a background in MR physics, medical image analysis, A.I. and open-source software development. His research focuses on the development of A.I. methods for analysing multi-parametric MRI techniques for quantifying microstructure in the living tissue. While he focuses on neuro applications (multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury), the developed methods can be applied to other organs. One of Dr. Cohen-Adad's interest in A.I. research is transparency, reproducibility and the mitigation of possible biases.
