John Lewin, M.D., FACR, FSBI is Chief of the Division of Breast Imaging in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale. Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Lewin worked in both private practice and academics. While on faculty at the University of Colorado he conducted the first large clinical trial comparing digital mammography to film for screening and developed the technique of dual-energy contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM). He has continued to work on CEM throughout his career and is currently the PI for a multi-center study on laser ablation of breast cancers.
