Dr. Philpotts did her medical and residency training at McGill University and has spent her professional career at Yale University, where she is currently a Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging and Breast Imaging Section Chief, Eastern Region. Her current interests focus on digital breast tomosynthesis and screening breast ultrasound. As Connecticut was the first state to enact density notification legislation, Yale has been a leader in providing technologist-performed screening ultrasound. Yale was one of the beta sites for development of breast tomosynthesis and one of the first sites in the country to utilize and publish studies on breast tomosynthesis.
