Edward A. Sickles, MD, FSBI, is Professor Emeritus of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the UCSF School of Medicine and served as Chief of Breast Imaging at the UCSF Medical Center for almost 30 years. He is a prolific contributor to breast imaging education and the scientific literature. Dr. Sickles has has served in leadership positions in many professional societies and organizations, both nationally and internationally. He is a founding member and past president of the Society of Breast Imaging. He also has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal of the Society of Breast Imaging.
