Brett T. Parkinson, MD

Former Imaging Director Intermountain Breast Imaging

After completing a Breast Imaging fellowship at UCLA, Dr. Parkinson entered private practice in Salt Lake City. Until his retirement in 2023, he was Breast Imaging Director at Intermountain Health. In adddition to serving on numerous ACR committees, he was Chair of the Mammography Accreditation Committee, 2011-2016. He was also a member of the ABR Breast Certifying Exam Committee. Active in outcomes research and quality improvement, he partnered with administrators in securing local insurance coverage for abbreviated Breast MRI in high risk patients. He now consults and is co-principal investigator in a blood biopsy reesearch project at Intermountain Health.
