This session will describe standard breast MRI sequences, the use of each individual sequence during interpretation, and a standard approach to breast MRI interpretation. Benign breast parenchymal enhancement and benign findings will be reviewed. Identification of suspicious findings will be described, including morphologic and kinetic characteristics using BI-RADS terminology.
The Pre-Course: Practical Tips for Breast MRI, a Case-Based Review presentation slides are not available for attendees to download.
Learning Objectives:
Describe and demonstrate a standard breast MRI interpretation alogrithm using standard breast MRI seqeunces (full protocol and abbreviated protocol breast MRI).
Demonstrate an overall case approach for fibroglandular tissue, benign breast parenchymal enhancement, and finding identification.
Characterize and define morphologic and temporal kinetic BI-RADS lexicon descriptors for benign and suspicious breast MRI findings, including BI-RADS updates from the 6th Edition.
