This session will help attendees understand how Radiologists and Technologists can work together to image challenging patient populations and lesions that are difficult to image by optimizing positioning techniques and options. Fundamentals of correlation with a finding detected on prior mammograms or in the area(s) of clinical concern in symptomatic patients will be discussed as these skills are often missed by radiologists and technologists.
Learning Objectives:
Optimize mammography positioning techniques in order to successfully image challenging patients and lesions that are difficult to image.
Understand the importance of correlating findings detected on prior images or findings in the area(s) of clinical concern in symptomatic patients.
Discover tips and pearls for positioning challenging patients and lesions to result in successful mammography-guided procedures.
