This will be a case-based presentation of both common and unusual MRI biopsy cases along with review of radiologic-pathologic correlation, associated pearls, pitfalls, and teaching points. Common challenging scenarios encountered when performing MRI biopsy will be reviewed with strategies for success discussed. We will also discuss tips and tricks for performing MRI guided procedures, management of non-visualized and discordant lesions, as well as the frequency, upgrade rates and characteristics of high risk lesions identified at MRI biopsy.
The presentation slides for this session are not available for attendees to download until after the session has concluded.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this lecture, participants will be familiar with both common and unusual MRI guided biopsy cases, the importance of rad-path correlation and common follow-up recommendations for both benign and malignant lesions.
Upon completion of this lecture, participants will be able to identify high risk benign lesions with upgrade potential, their incidence, MR imaging characteristcs, upgrade rates and management recommendations.
Upon completion of this lecture, participants will be be familiar with management of non-visualized and discordant lesions at MRI biopsy. We will review rates of non-visualization, outcomes and strategies for managing discordant lesions
